B’ESTFEST LAUNCHES THIS YEAR CIUC SUMMER FEST! FIRST NAMES CONFIRMED: FAITHLESS AND GARY MOORE

The B'ESTFEST fans will be given a good reason to enjoy their summer alongside Ciuc Summer Fest 2010 by B'ESTFEST's first edition - a series of spectacular live shows that will offer them the chance to re-experience the festival's spirit during 16-18 July, on Iolanda Balas Soter stadium in Bucharest, Faithless and Gary Moore being the first names confirmed.

This summer, the Romanian public will have the chance to relive the festival's experience under a brand new form of electrifying concerts series during Ciuc Summer Fest 2010. The Summer Fest concept was born in the summer of 2008, when it defined the concerts of artists such as Kylie, Metallica, Lenny Kravitz and Iron Maiden. This summer, Ciuc Premium - one of B'ESTFEST's main partners, will become the promoter of Summer Fest by B'ESTFEST, which will include, besides the Faithless show on July 16th, two more concert days on 17th and 18th of July, which will climax with a genuine special show offered by one of the most renowned guitarists in the international music, Gary Moore.

''Ciuc Premium supported the B'ESTFEST festival, accustoming its consumers to find their favourite beer at one of the major music festivals in Romania. Thus continuing the tradition of supporting the live, quality music, Ciuc Premium will launch this year Ciuc Summer Fest. The tickets for each Ciuc Summer Fest festival day - 16th, 17th and 18th of July - will be put on sale online on www.myticket.ro starting today, March 4th, and in the Diverta retail stores strating next week, at different price categories depending on the distance towards the stage: 90, 160 and 220 lei.

Gary Moore biography

Gary Moore, on his real name Robert William Moore, started his career as a musician in the 1960s and evolved along time aside other artists such as Thin Lizzy, B.B. King, Colosseum II, Greg Lake or the blues-rock band Skid Row, his portfolio being also completed by a prodigious solo career. Moore started playing the guitar at the age of 8, then having his first acoustic guitar. Just as other artists from that period of time, the artist was influenced by icon musicians such as Elvis Presley or The Beatles, and later, after watching live Jimi Hendrix or John Mayall's Bluesbreakers in his very hometown, his musical style turned to a blues-rock direction that was going to dominate his entire career.

He made his debut in 1973, when he released the ''Grinding Stone'' album, and a few years later, in 1978, he redrew music critics' attention aside with the ''Parisienne Walkways'' studio material, on which Phil Lynnot featured, and which was placed on UK Singles Chart's first positions. Shortly after that, the ''Thin Lizzy'' was released, the ''Black Rose: A Rock Legend'' hit reaching number 2 in the UK charts. In 1987, Gary Moore collaborated with various international artists to re-record Beatles' famous hit, ''Let It Be'', during a charity project that was meant to raise funds for the survivors of the aeronautic disaster of MS Herald of Free Enterprise.

Although initially remarked as a blues-rock guitarist, the versatility of Gary Moore's music interpretations are highlighted through various featurings with artists such as George Harrison, Colosseum II, Albert Collins, Jim Capaldi, The Beach Boys, Gary Husband, Ozzy Osbourne or Andrew Lloyd Webber. Also, one of the most influential names that touched his musical style was Peter Green, one of the Fleetwood Mac's members, whom Moore dedicated his tribute album in 1995, ''Blues fro Greeny'', an album that fully contained Green's music. Moore is he himself also renowned to be an artist who influenced various guitarists, amongst whom Randy Rhoads, John Sykes or Kirk Hammet (Metallica), being remarked for his unpredictable style, a mix of rock, jazz, blues and country, from traditional electric blues riffs to hard rock or heavy metal. Songs such as ''Parisienne Walkways'', ''Out in the Fields'', ''Empty Rooms'', ''Over the Hills and Far Away'', ''Wild Frontier'', ''Friday on My Mind'', ''After the War'', ''Still Got the Blues (For You)'', ''Cold Day in Hell'' or ''Story of the Blues'' are some of Gary Moore's greatest hits, as he is still considered today one of the most talented guitarists and interpreters of all times.
