Patrice Bart-Williams was born in Germany and his childhood was powerfully influenced by artists such Burning Spear, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix or Bob Dylan. He started writing his own songs by the age of 12 and he gradually defined a personal musical style, by combining Jamaican reggae and dub rhythms with acoustic guitar, funk and pseudo-jazz sounds. With lyrics build on a powerful social structure, that talk about love, rebellion, spirituality, life and death, superhits like “Soulstorm”, “Up In My Room”, “Everyday Good”, “You Always You” or “Clouds” rapidly gained the people`s attention, thus propelling Patrice as a genuine exponent of the new reggae generation. After various shows on festivals such as Summerjam, Hurricane, Summercase, Frequency or OpenAir St. Gallen, Patrice will also arrive in Bucharest for the second time in July, this time for a concert on one of the B`ESTFEST`s stages, on “Day Zero”, aside The Killers.
