Snails started as a band band with a classic rock-n-roll formula - guitar, rhythm guitar, drums and bass - back in 1997, doing covers from the 1960-70 (Beatles, Mamas and Papas, CCR, Rolling Stones, Animals, Simon and Garfunkel). In the beginning of the 2000s, the band passed through several changes. Thus, two of the members left and two other joined, after having spent some years in Liverpool and London as members of The Flying Postmen (today The Black Olives). It is the year 2003 that the band gave up to the “the” in the title and started to sing in Romanian for most of the time. And that is how the Romanian brit-rock got on the track. “Undeva” (Somewhere) and “Trenul” (The Train) were the first self-made tracks. In 2004, Snails participated at a young bands contest, won the first prize and the privilege to sign a three albums contract with a domestic label. After releasing the first two - „Undeva” (2005) and „Nu-mi pasa” (2007), Snails is working on the third between concerts and festivals. This summer, on 1st of July, Snails will perform at B'ESTFEST “Day Zero”.
