Klaxons started their career in 2005, in London and it only took them two years until they became one of the most appreciated British brit indie - dance punk bands on the international musical stage. Their first album, “Myths of the Near Future”, has been released in January 2007, reaching directly the second position in the UK Chart. In the very same year, the band has been awarded with “The Best Group” award from NME Magazine and a Mercury Music Prize for their album, “Myths of the Near Future”, among other various awards.
The band`s success also continued in 2008, their debut album bringing a new NME award, for “The Best Album” category, as the single “Golden Skans” has been considered the best international song within NME Awards USA. The same song also brought a surprising featuring between Rihanna and Klaxons, who set up an unprecedented mix of songs like “Umbrella” and “Golden Skans”, at the Brit Awards Gala in 2008, the entire show enjoying the audience with its real success.
After they performed on the stages of the most renowned international festivals, such as Glastonbury, Benicassim, Werchter, Coachella, T in the Park or Oxegen, Klaxons will also arrive this summer at Bucharest, for a sensational show at B`ESTFEST!
