THANK YOU'S

Posted by B'ESTFEST on 30 september 2008, 15:58
Below, we have tried to collect what other people stated about us, about B`ESTFEST, about how Bucharest changed in those 4 days....and given this occasion, we would also like to thank them for the nice words and good thoughts! And because we were raised properly, we ought to say some nice things also........about us, about them, about you. About those who stood by us for this second edition of B`ESTFEST festival, who made us eager to experience the next festival with a smile on our face. If we missed a name or two, please do believe us that we didn't make it on purpose, stuff happens... we can support the consequences on this and we can rectify if you send us an e-mail (PS: sorry for the delay, we know whose fault is that) For the beginning, we've only got nice words about you all, the audience, you've danced, you screamed, you enjoyed the shows and you've made the artists feel welcomed. We hope that we didn't disappoint you, just keep your eyes on us because we're planning something even bigger for the next year.

Off the series ''I wanna thank God, my mum, my grandpa'', the B`ESTFEST sponsors couldn`t be overviewed, since we couldn`t have made it without them

Click Net, on board with B`ESTFEST also for its second edition, this time with a very cool lounge:

Heineken, for all the support, and mostly for the guys with the backpacks ''stashed'' with beer, who kept us hydrated in the front rows

Rompetrol for an energy extra, ''disguised'' in the Silent Disco canvas in every night of the festival

Dacia, for the Sandero beach strip, so welcomed as a true oasis amongst the concreted Bucharest

Also, Raiffeisen for the token booths, the one and only official ''coin'' during the festival

Coca- Cola, Winterfresh, Betty Ice, AXE for cooling our bodies under the hot summer sun, and ATVrom for keeping our ''engines'' work this year too

We thank the guys from Danube for assuring that the counters system and the bars work properly and also the food caterers for quenching our hunger between two beers

The doctors and paramedics at PULS, who, hopefully, didn`t have too much to do...

There is no need for us to start chatting about the artists, they were just wonderful, warm, in high-spirited and eager to perform in super-shows! The proof can be found in the pictures already displayed below, however we are still working on a more complete gallery (that we hope to follow through until 2010...or 2011...., there are so many pictures!)

And since the information is the most desired ''product'', we thank the 4th state power, the press in general and the media partners especially, not just for helping us spread the news about B`ESTFEST, but also for the cool projects in which they`ve got involved: Radio 21 (which had a fantastic studio from where they have made a live transmission from the festival area!), UTV (the ''U meet the stars'' program came out extremely well, since so many artists signed autographs to their fans, an unprecented event at any other festival), Compact (the festival`s newspaper kept us permanentely connected to the pulse and rhytm of B`ESTFEST), Evenimentul Zilei, 24 FUN, FHM, Beau Monde (which came out with a really nice and well-done guide of the festival), Sunete, Popcorn, Republik, Oops Media, Elevate, bestmusic.ro, metropotam.ro, feeder.ro, metalhead.ro, as well as to all journalists who sustained our festival promotion campaign.

Also, the Silent Disco guys were simply wonderful, which made the people fully enjoy the wireless music.

The boys and girls from Silent Disco and Screaming Van really liked the show from last year, so they came back in 2008 also and they promised to rejoin if needed, since they really liked us! We would also like to thank to Digital Funfair and the kissy lady from the Kisspensary, as well as to halucinogenous boys from Oxygen Bar!

And regardless of how much others eulogize/exalt you, nobody can do it how you do..... so let`s go to the ''shadow runners'' (who stood mainly under the sun), the boys and girls who cluttered the whole festival, nice and laborious/diligent people (some of them....) about whom many don`t know, this is the reason for which it would be nice to place them in front. Since we were so many, it`s possible that some pictures may absent from the family album, but do allow us to apologize for this :) .

Let start then with B`ESTFEST BEST FRIENDS, the ones who worked as much as they had fun and they always swarmed over there with a smile on their face.

The man who stood behind the technical team, Cristi Singer, a bit more grinning than the last edition (or we just caught him in a better mood)

Carmen, who dealt of the accountancy, payments and other hideous paperwork

....under the close watch of Sir Puiu, also known as Hawkeye.

Florin wanted to feel the pulse of the audience, so he made a marketing research in the midst of the viewers and smiled politely from the back seat of his super engine....

Ioana, Florin`s colleague in the Marketing Department, alongside Andreea, from Communication. I believe their smile is much nicer than Florin`s......

And since we just mentioned the Communication Department, here is Dragos at the press cabin, alongside Andreea, Ionut, Ana, Alis (who joined our crew also last year), Diana and Toma, who are tenderfeet (and we do hope they come next year too)

.....Narcis&Co, who greeted the press at the entrance.

Reea (who dealt with the live blogging on bestfest.ro) and Dani, both leaving the impression (pretty vague...) that they were pretty busy in the backstage area.

And since we`re in the backstage: Oana (who knew every move of the artists), Pitica ( who knew from where to where and in which cars the artists moved), Razvan and Ionut.

Of course, the big good bosses, Laura and Guido, at a tour festival before the gates opened, with Robert, in charge with every detail in the Production Department.

Alex, Ionut and Horia coordinated the volunteers. To be honest, the last two more than Alex, who was mainly the guardian of the production office and of the fridge...

Of course, back in Romania, Church&Co., the gents from Showsec, at a beer in the final night of the festival...

Steven, Gabi and Alex, the official photographers from B`ESTFEST. If an artist protruded or was on the edge of jumping in the midst of the audience, they would be at the front of the stage, ready to catch the moment.

Butch and the team (in charge of the bars and the merch), alongside Dilhan, always smiling (probably, her smile convinced him to take her on a ride with the ATV...)

Unfortunately, we do not have a picture of the entire Butch`s team, but we do have Rares, who kept his eyes on the artists` merch (although he didn`t get a Judas Priest t-shirt, as much as he would have liked.....)

And here we found ourselves again in the Production Department, so please allow us to introduce Miruna, who took care of the production office....

Georgiana, the boss over Hospitality Village....

Stefan, Robert`s right- hand (with Bogdan, who`s not in the picture since he didn`t have a t-shirt and we`ve decided to be decent today...)

Marius, who ruled over the Click Net and Heineken stages...

Sorin dealt this year also with the Silent Disco canvas, that is Rompetrol Arena

Ana came last year at B`estival and I think she had a crush on us, since she insisted on helping us with most of the shows we had this year...:)

And amongst the lasts there are the first colleagues who directly met the viewers and those are the ones who dealt with the tickets, the access and the bracelets:

Eddy, always smiling (only he knows why...), who till B`ESTFEST dealt with DTP and he was pretty sad (since he often heard ''make my logo bigger'')

Bogdan, who smiled, I believe, only for the fact that he was being photographed...

Cati and Gabi, cute and grinning, chastely stay to be caught in the picture (as if they didn`t even have something to do...)

Koma who dealt with the logos, posters, video clips and many other, surrounded by girls (only two appear in this picture, the others stood in a line), before he started eating our national pride culinary speciality, ''mici'' (smalls?!)

We had other pictures too, many in fact, but since we are late already with these greetings, I thought about taking full responsibility if someone was not included in this album, and I do hope that I will make it up to all of you next year!

PS: The album photos were selected from various sources, including from Ana, Diana and Alex. We thank you all!
