MANIC STREET PREACHERS CONFIRMED FOR B’ESTFEST!

Manic Street Preachers is the newest name confirmed on B’ESTFEST 2008 line-up! Known for their intelligent and often political lyrics, the "Manics" gained mainstream popularity in the UK in the late 1990s.

Their debut album, ‘Generation Terrorists’, released in 1992, was very well received in Europe and Asia. Although during the early part of their career they were regarded as a punk rock band, their music is now often generally regarded as alternative rock, due to changes in their sound. Manic Street Preachers released another seven albums, ‘Everything Must Go’ being their best selling album but also the most awarded. In May 2007, they released ‘Send Away the Tiger’.

Hits like ‘If You Tolerate This, Your Children Will Be Next’, ‘The Masses Against the Classes’, ‘A Design for Life’, ‘The Love of Richard Nixon’, ‘Empty Souls’, ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’ and ‘Everything Must Go’ convinced million of fans through an unique sound and the dramatic lyrics.

After headlining international festivals like Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Rock Ness and V Festival, this year Manic Street Preachers will join Nelly Furtado, Kaiser Chiefs and Roisin Murphy for B’ESTFEST 2008. The festival will take place on 4, 5, 6 July, on Romexpo grounds, in Bucharest. On 11th of July, on the same Romexpo grounds, B’ESTFEST AFTERSHOCK will take place, the fourth day of the festival, headlined by ''the gods of metal'', Judas Priest!

The one-day tickets for 11 July, B'ESTFEST AFTERSHOCK, have already been made available at the price of 75 lei in pre-sale. On 11 July, the one-day tickets will cost 90 lei at the door.
