Alanis Morissette recently released her seventh album - "Flavors of Entanglement". The singer stated in a recent interview that her break-up from ex-fiance Ryan Reynolds provided her with the power to focus on the new album: "One of the main themes of this record is recovery, rising up from the ashes."
It seems that the break-up helped Alanis to concentrate on the lyrics of album: "In the middle of my break-up, I went to London for 12 days, wrote 12 songs. It was all very immediate and visceral" said the singer in a recent interview.
Alanis - who split from "Definitely, Maybe" star Ryan Reynolds (now engaged to Scarlett Johansson) last year after a four-and-a-half-year relationship - stated she is happy for the newly-engaged couple. Asked if she finds it difficult to see Ryan has moved on, Morissette replied: "I have enough distance, so to be perfectly honest I'm not really that focused on it. I wish anyone whom I love, whether I hang out with them or not, great success and love in their life."
This summer, the Romanian fans will have the chance to see Alanis live in Bucharest, performing together with songs from the new album, hits like "Ironic", "Uninvited", "Thank U" or "So Pure". Alanis will perform at B'ESTFEST 2008 in the first day of the festival, 4th of July.
