TWO NEW BANDS CONFIRMED FOR B'ESTFEST 2008: THE HOT STEWARDS AND THE AMSTERDAMS!

Two new names revealed in B’ESTFEST 2008 line-up: The Hot Stewards and The Amsterdams!

The six members of The Hot Stewards, Johnny si Onslow (vocals), Stuntman Aaron and Young Master William (guitar), Roger V (bass guitar) and Leopold (drums) – all named Steward, are not what you'd normally call a "cover band". Performing hits of the 80’s in a punk-rock manner, offering a new flavour to the songs of Madonna, Kylie, Wham!, Rick Astley or Paula Abdul. In 2005 the band impressed the world with their debut EP 'The Very Best Of The Hot Stewards', featuring the smash hit rock version of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown Boy'. After a year of heavy touring and some rehab-related difficulties, the boys have sobered up to crash the studio once more for a full-length record. Now, Sally Forth Records proudly presents 'Cover Up', a collection of eighties classics, delivered loud, slick, and filthy, like they've always screamed to be played. At the begining of this year, The Hot Stewards entered in Top 20 with the single “Straight Up”.

After they changed 12 drums players and one bass guitar player during one year, The Amsterdams consists now of 5 commited guys, who promissed that they will not leave the band unless they will be “wacked”: Andrei and Ovidiu (guitar), Augustin (bass guitar), Paul (drums) and Andrei (vocals). In 2007, The Amsterdams were invited to perform at Stufstock Festival and also at the second edition of UNDERLONDON. This year they will attend B’ESTFEST 2008, and will also represent Romania at EuropaVox Festival in France.
