MANU CHAO is featured on the soundtrack of “MARADONA”, the most recent creation of the film director Emir Kusturica. This is not the first colaboration between the two: Emir Kusturica directed the video of “Raining in Paradise”, which is included on the album “La Radiolina”.
It has raised eyebrows that such a revered director wants to document Maradona. The simple reason may be that Kusturica adores football! Kusturica is clear whose side he was on in 1986: "I was one of millions of people across the world who jumped for joy while watching those two goals against England in 1986," he said. "Furthermore, in Serbia Maradona is extremely popular. Our football resembles that of the Argentines. It is also said that I am the Maradona of the cinema."
The new Manu Chao single, "La Vida Tombola" is the track featured on the movie’s soundtrack. The video of "La Vida Tombola" will be released late June, and the single cover artwork will feature Manu Chao together with Maradona.
