The Last Supper, founded by Dan Shwetz (vocal), Peter Walker (guitar), Frankie Biggz (drumms), Scott Hernon (bass) and Diaa Tass (percussion) in 1996, was recently picked as one of the best 20 new bands on the planet for 2006 by “Classic Rock Magazine” from the U.K..
The Canadian group has played more than 600 live shows across four continents, and played with acts including Iron Maiden, Joe Cocker, Our Lady Peace and The Tea Party. Singles like “Awake”, “Carousalambra”, “Humanity” or “Ignorance” were very well received by the international audience, impressing the critics with their unique sound with blues, rock and even hip-hop influences.
The band recently became part of a reality television show called Band Without Borders. The new series will feature life on the road with The Last Supper as they attempt to set the world record for most countries toured by a musical group. The band will be touring a100 countries over the next three years and filming has already started on the project with plans to distribute the series internationally. Their performance at B'ESTEST will be recorded for a special episode of their project.
