B'ESTIVAL 2007 will take place between 29 of June and ! of July in Romexpo Complex. Made possible by Emag!c Entertainment, B'ESTIVAL 2007 is going to be the first local event according to the internationals demands. If Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper have been cheering up the “rockers” , the fans of the electro music have now another ambassador at the B'ESTIVAL, along with Faithless: Morcheeba!
Morcheeba are an English band that mixes influences from trip hop, rock, rhythm and blues and pop. Their most popular albums include debut “Who Can You Trust?” and “Big Calm”. They achieved moderate international pop crossover success with the single “Rome Wasn't Built in a Day” in 2000.
Sometime in the mid-1990s, the Godfrey brothers (DJ Paul Godfrey and multi-instrumentalist Ross Godfrey) recruited Skye Edwards as vocalist during a chance meeting at a party in which both brothers were introduced to Skye. This led to formation of Morcheeba but, five albums later (2003), Edwards left the band.
In 2005 they recorded another album, “The Antidote”, and recruited Daisy Martey to replace Edwards on vocals. Recently the Godfrey brothers have replaced Martey with another singer - Jody Sternberg - for their live performances.
“Dive Deep” is their next studio album which is expected to be released in late 2007 and is expected to have several vocalist taking the stage instead of the one vocalist all throughout the album.
According to the pre-sells of the tickets, the organizators estimate that the first 3-day-pass it will be finished by the middle of April.On the www.myticket.ro web site have been puted on sale for the first day (60 RON), for the second day and the third day (75 RON), as well they can purchase on line and the VIP tickets , at the price of 300 RON per day, and the 3-day-pass of the festival (180 RON).The tickets are in limited number, and the prices are availeble only in pre sell period. |
