Suie Paparude was born in 1993, in Club A; consisted, at first, of five members, was known for its alternative-new-wave style ( the New Order epoch).
In '94, creating a more commercial approach- industrial (with Front 242, Laibach, Frontline Assembly influences), the group started a series of concerts with Timpuri Noi band, those two representing, at that time, the biggest alternative Romanian bands. The history of Suie Paparude is connected to the beginning of drum & bass sound.
During their Future Sound Tour around the country, they were acknowledged as one of the successful Romanian band that approached the electronic style.
On February 2005, Suie Paparude is awarded with a prize for the best club song- “Pentru inimi”, from the album “Scandalos” -after the votes expressed by those who accessed the Nights Awards site.
On the 23rd of June 2006, the band was invited to sing in the opening of the Depeche Mode concert (after a rigorous selection coordinated by the U K's band management) on the Lia Manolia stadium in front of more than 40000 spectators.
Still in the summer of 2006, the Suie Paparude band sustained a concert at the rock festival in Periam, in the opening of the punk group Exploited; then in the opening of Madox , Psure and Klaus Heavyweight Hill, at the Peninsula -Tirgu Mures festival, in front of more than 1000 people. Moreover, in the same summer, the band is called once again to sustained a concert at the Liberty Parade, in front of more than 20000 spectators. In the autumn of 2006, Suie Paparude are invited to the 6th edition of TMBASE, in Timisoara ( being a recurrent participant to all the others editions), where they sang in the opening of the DJ from the UK, Ed 209.
Now, the band is preparing a new album, expected to be ready in 2007, after the mini tour that took place on January, in Berlin, Hamburg and Rotterdam, at the International Movie Festival.
